Candidate Forum at Sidney Elks Lodge May 26

Sidney Elks Lodge,123 3rd St. SW, is opening its doors, yet again, for a candidate forum. With Election Day coming up on June 7, it is another fine time for voters to find out what the candidates are all about.

Thursday, May 26 at 6 p.m., Richland County Farm Bureau Federation is hosting a candidate forum at the Sidney Elks Lodge. As of May 18, 10 of the candidates running during the primary are verified to come to the forum. The following candidates will be in attendance: for sheriff; John Dynneson and Shane Kyhl. Both candidates for District 2 county commissioner, Shane Gorder and Brian Holst; County attorney candidates, Charity McLarty and Layne Johnson; County Treasurer Candidate Amy Metz, Clerk and Recorder Candidate Stephanie Verhasselt, County Superintendent of School Candidate Tim Tharp, and District 35 State Representative Brandon Ler. During this event, the candidates will stand before the entire audience and answer questions posed by those in the crowd.

Cookies and coffee will be available, courtesy of the Farm Bureau Federation.

All voters are encouraged to attend regardless of party.
