3rd Annual Richland County Sportsman Club Car Show Sidney, June 18

The 3rd Annual Richland County Sportsman Club Car Show will be Saturday, June 18, at Moose Park on 7th Ave. SW, noon–4 p.m. Registration will be in the morning, 9 a.m.–11:30 a.m..

“It’s just your basic car show,” Larry Christensen said. Several local enthusiasts are expected to bring their classic cars, current hot rods, and works in progress to show off their rides. The car show was started back in 2019 for the Sportsman Club to raise money to establish an outdoor public shooting range in Richland County. There is, currently, one shooting range just northwest of Sidney on Highway 16 but it is owned and run by the Sidney Trap Club and is for shotguns only. No rifles allowed. Registration for the car show will be $35 per judged entry and $10 per unjudged entry. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in the car show will each receive trophies and a cash prize. Each vehicle registration includes a driver and one passenger. Admission is $5 per person and kids 12 and under are free. Besides the car show, there will be a raffle and a 50/50 draw. Tickets are one for $5 and five for $20. Raffle winners need not be present to win. The 1st prize winner will receive a PSA 308 20” rifle and the 2nd pize winner will get a whole McCone Heritage Berkshire hog, cut and wrapped by Craig’s Meat, Savage. The sole winner of the 50/50 draw will receive half the pot and must be present to win. For more information call 406-489-0589.

Food and drink will be available to purchase courtesy of the Brodie Gorder Memorial Project. The Brodie Gorder Memorial Project is a non-profit set up in the memory of Brodie Gorder, a young wrestler who was killed in a tragic ATV accident in 2013. The project hosts events and raises funds to help youth in the community through grants and scholarships.
