Emmaus House will be hosting their 4th Annual Art Festival Fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 29 from 2-6 p.m. at St. Matthew's Parish Center, Sidney. Admission price for this event will be $5 for adults and donations will be welcome. There will be three prize drawings, you must be present to win.
The Emcee for this event will be Nick Lonski. Events will start at 2 p.m. with browsing the artists booths and the silent auction. At 3 p.m. there will be vocal entertainment by Aly Schriver and at 3:30 p.m. the live auction will begin with Dan Goss, auctioneer. After that at 4:30 p.m. will be vocal entertainment by Karen and Sam Truax. Then rounding out the evening starting at 5 p.m. will be the free will donation chili supper and the silent auction winners will be announced.
Local artists that will be featured are Tanna Smith, pottery; Rhonda Whited, pencil drawing; Janet MacDonald, mosaic; Catherine (Richard) Cayko, watercolor painting; Margaret Bradley, photography; Helen Donovan, en plein air painting; David Culbertson, prisma coloring; Betty Rauschendorfer, hand-embroidered table topper; Shelly Fisher Mann, repurposed art; Alton Hillesland, wood sculpture; and Ruthann Hillesland, 4-square barn quilt.
There will also be a quilt raffle, the tickets will be available online at http://www.emmaushouse.co or call Sr. Rita at 406-480-0669. The quilt is called "Stars at Sea" a 60"x72" quilt by Jodi Kordonowy. Tickets are one for $5 or five for $20 and you do not need to be present to win. All the proceeds will go to Emmaus House Ministries.
