The Grand Williston is Back!

2022 brought with it the return of a longstanding Williston business. A property company that has bought different hotels in Williston and Watford City bought the Grand Williston Hotel and Conference Center and has renovated it to the point that it would not be recognized upon entering.
The Grand Williston Hotel was first opened in the 1980s. It was a major part of the scenery for many years until 2020 rolled around. Like many other businesses across the country, the hotel had to close down. The previous owners put the business up for sale and the building sat empty until Real Capital Solutions Properties out of Colorado, purchased the hotel and renovations began. According to their website, http://www.realcapitalsolutions.com, "Real Capital Solutions has been investing in commercial real estate since the mid-1980s." and "RCS pursues both existing, underperforming assets as well as opportunities for development and redevelopment.". In early 2022 they purchased the Grand Williston Hotel and Convention Center along with their four other hotels in Williston and Watford City and then got to work. They hired Aimbridge Hospitality, a hotel management firm out of Texas, to manage it for them.
After two years of sitting dormant, the hotel not only needed to be fixed up. It also needed to be modernized and brought up to code. The whole front end has been redone including the lobby, all the offices, the ballroom, and the restaurant/lounge had to be worked on along with much more. The pool area, water side, and lockers were redone and are now ready for patrons. Stop in and enjoy a great menu including steaks, seafood, pizza, or burgers at the family-friendly "Tavern at the Grand". It is open 11 a.m.-11 p.m. daily and has a Sunday Brunch with a full buffet. Spring of 2023 they will begin working on the exterior and parking lot. Area Director of Sales, Denise Olvera, said: "Give us a call for further information on corporate rates and let us take care of your company's lodging needs."
