Les Schwab Tires To Help Boys & Girls Club During Celebration

The Richland County Boys & Girls Club’s Ford Transit van is about to get some top-notch new tires, and a group of elementary-school students will get to learn about tire installation in a live demo associated wit≠h the tire gift. Les Schwab Tires is donating the tires as part of its Tires for Purpose program. While the team installs the tires, store manager AJ Mcgarvey will lead a learning session for 10-20 kids in grades 4-6, who will watch from the store’s showroom.

The session is part of the club’s career-readiness program, which offers youth experiences with a variety of possible occupations, from changing tires to landscaping to dental hygiene. The club’s van is used Monday to Thursday during the school year to transport pre-K kids to the club every afternoon. During the summer, it’s used for field trips.

The donation and demo excitement is part of the grand opening celebration of Les Schwab Tires’ new Sidney store at 600 N. Central Ave, right in front of the Candlewood Suites.

In addition to welcoming a new community supporter, with the opening of the Sidney Les Schwab Tires store, residents now have a new option for one-stop shopping to ensure their vehicles are equipped to safely transport them wherever they need to go. Les Schwab’s offerings include brake services, alignment, shocks and more - a more robust range of services than those available from other tire shops that simply sell tires.
