Donkey Sports Incorporated, based in Entiat, WA, will send their donkeys and staff out to many different states to hold donkey basketball games as fundraisers and just for entertainment.
According to their website, http://www.donkeysports.com, the friendly, clean, and well-kept donkeys are trained to play the games, are fun to ride, and wear rubber shoes to protect the surface they play on. Donkey Sports provides referees to keep control of the basketball game, assist the players, and assure the donkeys are treated humanely.
According to Kari Rustand, Alexander Public School, they would like this to be an annual event. For more information about this or other fundraisers being put on by the students of Alexander Public School contact them at 701-828-3335.
