Sidney Swim Team Hosts Home Meet

This last weekend the Sidney Tiger Sharks home meet. There were over 290 swimmers in town from all over the Eastern Federation. The pool was hopping with swimmers trying to get their best times, times in new events, and some swimmers just swimming for the first time this season.

There is just two weeks from Divisionals in Chinook and three weeks from the state meet in Conrad.

The Sidney Tiger Sharks were on fire and swam away with the first-place trophy. Many swimmers took high point or were 2nd and 3rd in their age division.

Cash Copple took 1st for the 8 and under boys, Wyatt Johns tied for 1st for the 9-10 boys, Braya Radke took 1st for the 9-10 girls, Beckett Norby took 1st for the 11-12 boys age group, and Morgan Kindopp took 1st for the 13-14 girls. Morgan Kindopp also set some records in Sidney in the 50 free; she set a pool record and a fed record on Sunday.

On Saturday, RayElla Radke set the pool record in the 100 breast in her heat and Morgan Kindopp who swam in the very next heat broke it. She missed the Federation record by .2 of a second. Will be expecting her to get that record this season.

As all things in a small town, this meet was not possible without parents and community support and we truly appreciate the neighbors and city for all they did to make it such a fun supportive weekend for the swimmers.
