30 Days Of Beef Happening All Month Long

On Friday, Sept. 1, the 3rd Annual 30 Days of Beef raffle started. The raffle of anything beef will continue throughout the month of September with at least a single raffle every day and two raffles every day of the last week.

Sales for the tickets started in August and will continue through September. They are $25 a ticket and $100 worth will put the purchaser in the $100 club. There will be single cuts of meat, meat bundles, grills, grilling and smoking tools, beef baskets, gift cards to both Sidney grocery stores, and South 40, The Depot, Pizza House, Mimi’s Kitchen, Craig’s Meat, and Ace Hardware as prizes. A different one for each day.

For the $100 Club there will be an additional raffle held for the chance to win one of two halves of beef or a Blackstone griddle.

The 30 Days of Beef is probably the second biggest fundraiser the Boys & Girls Club of Richland County has. Last year, the meat raffle brought in about $17,000 to go towards the many programs put on by the nonprofit to benefit the kids in their after-school program and the surrounding community.

Besides the after-school program, the Boys & Girls Club of Richland County also has summer camps and hosts the free meal program during the summer. During the school year, they also hand out turkeys close to Thanksgiving, food boxes in December, and hams close to Easter.

Tickets may be purchased at the front desk of the Boys & Girls Club of Richland County, online at Auctria.events/beef2023 or by scanning the QR code found on 30 Days of Beef raffle posters found all over Sidney.
