Sharon A. Williams, 83, Sidney, MT, passed away Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023 at Sidney Health Center.

Sharon was born Aug. 16, 1940, to Patrick and Ann DeVoir, Billings, MT. She attended the Catholic Grade School, Sidney, and graduated from Sidney High School, in 1958. Sharon attended business school, in Billings, before taking a job at a bank there.

Sharon married her husband, Everett, in Billings on Dec. 17, 1960. After living in Sidney for a couple years, they made their home at the farm, north of Lambert, where they raised their three children.

She had many hobbies including crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, reading, gardening, and embroidery – she made countless tablecloths, bedspreads and pillowcases, but her specialty was baby blankets. An avid baker, Sharon's kids will miss her pies, cakes, and cookies, and especially her breadsticks which were constantly fought over. She loved flowers, all the wild ones and any she received or bought for herself. Fresh flowers decorated the home frequently.

Sharon had many adventures in her life: raising her children, selling Avon, cooking school lunches at Lambert, owning and running the Lambert café, and the highlight the whole family laughs at – selling mini-donuts at the area fairs.

Everett and Sharon attended sporting events for nearly 63 years, including all their children and grandchildren's games, later following the Montana Grizzlies' football and basketball. When not busy at games, they enjoyed fishing in the area lakes.

Our mom was a wonderful, loving, and caring person. She was an involved Grandma and Great Grandma. One thing about Mom is she loved us no matter what. She might not have liked all the choices we made but she had a never-ending love.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Everett; her children Kathleen (Russel), Lambert, MT, Coleen (Kip), Sidney, MT, and Daniel (Sheri), Sidney, MT; her siblings Michel (John) DeGroat and Patrick DeVoir Jr .; grandchildren Amanda Wambolt (Freddie), Cole Thornton (Jana), Ross Thornton, Sheridan Dean (Parker), and Amelia Williams; and great-grandchildren Karlee Wambolt, Kyler Wambolt, Cohen Thornton, and Quinn Thornton.

She is preceded in death by her parents Patrick and Ann DeVoir, in-laws Floyd and Evelyn Williams, sister Jean Smith, and brother-in-law Ivan Smith.
