Eight members of the Sidney Tendo Tae Kwon Do School traveled to Williston to participate in the 2023 Williston Tendo/Sidney Tendo Invitational Tae Kwon Do Championships held on Saturday, Oct. 7 at the Area Recreation Center.
Competitors from North Dakota, Montana, and Canada were on hand.
Competitors from Sidney and their results are as follows:
Troy Turnbull, 7 yr. old yellow belt, placed 3rd in forms and 3rd in sparring.
Mercy Long, 6 yr. old orange belt, placed 3rd in forms and 4th in sparring.
Katharyne Long, adult orange belt, placed 4th in forms and 1st in sparring.
Rhett Fisher, 8 yr. old orange belt, placed 2nd in forms, 2nd in board breaking, and 1st in sparring.
Miles Sturgis, 9 yr. old orange belt, placed 3rd in forms and 3rd in sparring.
Finley Miller, 8 yr. old orange belt, placed 4th in forms and 1st in sparring.
Aurora Miller, 10 yr. old orange belt, placed 3rd in forms and 3rd in sparring.
Jacob Stordahl, 10 yr. old green belt, placed 4th in forms, 4th in board breaking, and 2nd in sparring.
