Fairview High School Gymnasium was the center for the annual Silver Bells and Craft Show Saturday, Nov. 18, concluding with the Bridge Lighting event at Sundheim Park.

Several local crafters set up tables with their yearly projects in the gymnasium. Artwork, natural oils, cookies, pumpkin bread and pumpkin cookies, antler horn kitchen tools, Pampered Chef, just to name a few.

After the show everyone set out to Sundheim Park along the river bridge. This event had a new feature. A preview to the lighting this year was the appearance of a model train coming through the tunnel with its own passengers. The train proceeded down to the park where free train rides were given throughout the evening. Santa was on the train and talked to several children waiting in the park.

Friends of the Fairview Bridge would like to extend a huge and heartfelt thank you to Kraken Resources for their generous donation towards the Lighting of the Bridge.

Kids attending the Fairview "Lighting of the Bridge" had a special surprise this year when Santa appeared coming through the tunnel riding on a train on the tracks, Saturday, Nov. 21. After Santa's appearance the train was driven down to Sundheim Park where kids and adults rode it free around the park until well into the night.
