First High Tea Ever To Be Held At McKenzie County Heritage Park & North Dakota Oil Museum Saturday, Dec. 9

The McKenzie County Heritage Park and North Dakota Oil Museum will be hosting its first ever high tea on Saturday, Dec. 9, from 5-7 p.m. It was the brainchild of Ferin Moore, executive director of the McKenzie County Heritage Park and North Dakota Oil Museum.

According to their eventbrite page, whether you're a seasoned tea connoisseur or simply looking for a unique experience, the High Tea at the Heritage Park is not to be missed. This in-person event promises to be a delightful experience for tea lovers and history enthusiasts alike. Attendees will be able to immerse themselves in the rich heritage of the park while enjoying a cup of their favorite brew. Registration is required before the day of the event either by calling the park during normal business hours or online at their eventbrite page. Attendees must first check-in at the front desk. Then they will be brought to the McKenzie County Heritage Park and North Dakota Oil Museum media room. There they will be treated to tea of different kinds and some snacks. There will be a short video on the history of tea, provided by the North Dakota ___. Then a social time will begin. A teacup and saucer will be provided that attendees may keep after the event, but they may bring their own cups if they wish.

Not too long ago, Heritage Park Executive Director Moore’s mother came to her with the antique teapot Moore had gotten from her on her 6th birthday and she thought, “Wouldn’t be cool to have a tea party at the Heritage park?” Her mother encouraged her to try it out. The park is just trying it out this year, but if it is successful they wish to make it a yearly event.

Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in their finest. Tickets are by donation and payable upon registration. The McKenzie County Heritage Park and North Dakota Oil Museum is open normally Tuesdays-Saturdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. They can be reached by phone at (701) 842-6434 and the eventbrite page for the High Tea is http://www.eventbrite.com/e/high-tea-at-the-heritage-park-tickets-731456816027.
