Sidney Airport Operating As Usual Despite Fire

An early morning fire discovered about 2 a.m. Thursday, March 7 destroyed one of three hangers at the Sidney-Richland Regional Airport. The biggest of the three was the hanger that contained the biggest snow removal equipment. Airport manager Ryan Huotari said that they still have back-up equipment to keep open in the event of snow fall and that the airport is functioning as usual.

He also expressed his deep gratitude to the Sidney Fire Department, MDU and LYREA for their great response. "Those guys are troopers," he said.
