Sidney’s softball team dropped an exciting 14-12 non-conference game against Glasgow on Tuesday.
After Glasgow gained a 10-4 lead at the end of four innings, Sidney struck back with five runs in the bottom of the fifth. Singles by Kylin Siatta, Aiyana Kirn, Amiya Steinbeisser and Jayla Huft highlighted the inning.
Glasgow moved ahead 12-9 with a pair of runs in the top of the sixth. Allison Thiel doubled to score Izzy Baisch in the bottom of the sixth to cut the margin to 12-10.
After the Scotties added a pair of runs in the top of the seventh, A. Kirn and Huft scored for the Eagles in the bottom of the seventh to come as close as 14-12.
Siatta led the Eagles with four hits and four runs batted in. Kirn added three hits. Having two hits each were Steinbeisser and Huft including a double.
The Eagles won one game, tied a game and dropped two contests during action in Lewistown. The victory came against Shelby.
