A Day Of Fun & Food Awaits You At The 2011 “Best of The West” Ribfest, Street Fair & Classic Antique Car & Truck Show

The 2011 "Best of the West" Ribfest, Street Fair and Antique Classic Car and Truck Show is set for Friday, Aug. 12 on Main Street, Watford City.

The day opens at 10 a.m. with Ribfest set up.

The Street Fair and the Classic Car and Truck Show will be open from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. The Street Fair will be set up along Main Street.

The Antique Car & Truck Show is being held in conjunction with the Ribfest. Vehicles will be set up in front of S&S Motors. Prizes will be awarded for: Best In Show, Best Paint, Best GM, Best Ford, Best Mopar and Peoples Choice. Pre-registered entrants will be guaranteed a dash plaque. Vehicle registration is $10 payable to the Best of the West Ribfest. To register for the show, contact Delvin or Tammy Reeves at 701-842-3831 or e-mail [email protected]. There will also be a 50/50 raffle.

Children of all ages are invited to dress up in western gear for the "Showdown at Noon" on the Big Stage between Barrett Pharmacy and BNC Bank. There will be prizes for Best Dressed.

At 12:45 p.m., all little ones in diapers that can crawl or just starting to walk are invited to participate in the "Diaper Derby".

BINGO will start at 1 p.m., followed by Chris Sand at 2 p.m. and from 3-3:30 p.m. is the hot dog eating contest.

There will be kids' games for kids ages 3-13 with lots of prizes from 1-2:30 p.m.

Lindsay's Little Dancers will entertain with line dancing demonstrations from 4-4:30 p.m. "Fun on the Run" games will be set up from 4-9 p.m. A Thriller Workshop will be set up at 4:30 p.m. The Ribfest Dancers will perform at 5 p.m., followed by the Ping Pong Drop at 5:15 p.m.

Ribfest judging begins at 4 p.m. with the Ribfest opening at 5:30 p.m.

Music By Taylor Brothers & Lonesome Willy will be set up on the Big Stage from 5-8:30 p.m. At 8:30 p.m., attendees are invited to participate in the Longest Chicken Dance on Main Street.

"Branded" will provide the music for the Street Dance from 8:30-12:30 a.m.
