Farm Credit Services Assists Employees With Flood Clean-Up

Farm Credit Services of North Dakota is proud to assist its employees and their families in disaster recovery and clean-up efforts due to the devastation left behind from the historic Mouse River flood.

Farm Credit Services had 11 staff members and 1 board member evacuated due to the flood. As a result of the damage from this monumental flood, Farm Credit Services Board of Directors generously approved funds for the purchase of equipment to be used for flood recovery efforts. The equipment was made available to Farm Credit Services employees and their families.

Farm Credit also allowed staff members, during work hours, to help clean the homes of the Staff, which were damaged by flood waters. To date, FCS has helped clean 10 homes and assisted with several others adding up to close to 1,000 man hours.

“The cleanup of the city and homes is well on its way. At Farm Credit Services, we invested in items including water pumps, trailers, generators, wrecking bars, shovels, etc. in order to help our staff members who had their homes affected by the flood. Many of our staff members have pitched in and done what is necessary to help try and make this disaster a little better,” says Claude Sem, CEO.

Farm Credit Services of North Dakota provides agricultural credit and related financial services and crop insurance to farmers and ranchers in 17 counties in northwestern North Dakota. They have offices in Minot, Bottineau, Rugby, Williston and Carrington.
