Thrivent Choice lets members show their care for our community.
Lutheran congregations and organizations in the Sidney area have now received $43,172 through the Thrivent Choice DollarsSM program since its inception in July 2010. Approximately nine Lutheran organizations in the Sidney area have benefited from the good will of Thrivent Financial members.
The program allows eligible Thrivent Financial for Lutherans’ members to recommend how a portion of Thrivent Financial’s charitable funds are distributed. Nationwide, nearly $50 million in funding has been directed to 18,000 Lutheran congregations and organizations through the program.
“Seeing Thrivent Financial members influence how charitable dollars are given to the community where they live, work and play is rewarding,” said Harvey Senn, LUTCF, FIC who serves the Sidney area. “Hearing the stories about how the funding is making a difference in the lives of so many validates the success of Thrivent Choice.”
In 2010, Thrivent Financial and its members contributed, raised and donated more than $135 million to help congregations, communities and nonprofit organizations.
