The McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office, the Watford City Police Department, and the United States Marshals Service are sponsoring a community forum to discuss sex offender registration in McKenzie County. Law enforcement representatives will discuss state and federal sex offender registration laws, how Tier levels are assigned to registered offenders, how registered offenders are monitored and when non-compliant offenders can be prosecuted. An open forum for discussion will follow the presentations.
This event will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Media Center of Watford City High School (use southwest door). This event and presentation will be open to the public and companies are advised to attend.
