Land owners faced with land reclamation challenges are encouraged to attend the workshop “Land Reclamation: Developing Your Plan” from 10 am to 3 pm CT on Friday, March 13 in the Ballroom of Outlaw’s Restaurant in Watford City. Lunch will be provided by First International Bank and Trust of Watford City. Pre-registration is requested by Tuesday, March 10. Agenda items will include:
“Development of a pre-plan for reclamation through a baseline inventory checklist” by Dr. Kevin Sedivec, NDSU Extension Service rangeland management specialist
“Recommendations for surface use agreements, easements and surface issues” by David Saxowsky, associate professor, Agriculture and Applied Economics Departments
“Suggested methods of communication with partners, neighbors and other entities involved in reclamation”, Jodi Bruns, NDSU Extension Service community vitality specialist
A panel discussion featuring local landowners and land reclamation issues will wrap up the workshop.
