Patriots Sweep Games Against Glendive Team

 

Brett Norby fires a pitch against Glendive.

Behind outstanding pitching, the Richland County Patriots won both games of a home double-header against Glendive June 1.

In the first game, the Patriots accounted for four runs in the third inning and fought off Glendive 5-4.

Hunter Severson connected for a double in the victory. Having RBIs were Taylor Searer, Severson and Max Peters.

After struggling in the first inning, Brett Norby pitched the distance for the win. Norby fanned 11 batters and allowed seven hits.

In the second game, Adam Wentz earned the victory. He pitched seven innings and struck out 11 batters. Wentz allowed just four hits.

The Patriots took control with three runs in the fourth and then three more in the fifth.

Leading the team with two hits each were Kory Halvorson, Peters and Cody Voss. Halvorson scored two runs and finished with two RBIs. Peters added two RBIs.
