McKenzie County Community Connection Hosted Open House Watford City Feb. 18

On Tuesday, Feb. 18, the McKenzie County Community Connection hosted their first-ever open house event from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pioneer Museum, Watford City. There was a free sandwich lunch provided. The purpose of hosting a McKenzie County Community Connection open house is to bring new and old community members together.

Calli Thorne, McKenzie County Community Connection Coordinator, explained, "The primary purpose of the event is to bring community members together to inform them of all the opportunities the community provides. We want to encourage community members to stop in and find out what organizations exist, inquire about volunteer opportunities, find out what there is to do in the area, meet new faces, and connect with others."

Thorne explained that the McKenzie County Community Connection would like to start hosting open houses monthly. "We will be hosting another open house event at the Pioneer Museum on March 17 and April 24! We want to make sure people in the community are aware of all the incredible opportunities McKenzie County has to offer, and we feel that having this as a monthly event would be a great way to make that happen!"

Whether you are new to the community or you have lived here for many years, the McKenzie County Community Connection invites you to attend an open house event!
