(Updated April 30, 2021) Richland County COVID-19 Case Update

The Richland County Health Department is announcing 8 additional positive cases of COVID-19 ina Richland County resident, the release of 6 individuals from COVID-19 isolation, and the death of 1 community member.

"Our thoughts are with the friends and family of our most recent COVID-related death, a woman in her 80's," said Brittney Petersen, Administrator.

The total case count is at 1231, with 1207 of the total cases recovered, with 17 deaths.

There are currently 7 active cases in Richland County. Case information is as follows:

Case 1231: A male in his 80's who was hospitalized. The individual was symptomatic.

Case 1230: A male between the ages of 10 and 19 who was not hospitalized. The individual was symptomatic.

Case 1229: A female in her 40's who was not hospitalized. The individual was symptomatic.

Case 1228: A male in his 60's who was hospitalized. The individual was named as a contact to a positive case and was symptomatic.

Case 1227: A female in her 50's who was not hospitalized. The individual was named as a contact to a positive case and was symptomatic.

Case 1226: A male between the ages of 10 and 19 who was not hospitalized. The individual was named as a contact to a positive case and was symptomatic.

Case 1225: A female between the ages of 10 and 19 who was not hospitalized. The individual was symptomatic.

Case 1224: A male in his 40's who was not hospitalized. The individual was named as a contact to a positive case and was symptomatic.

The Department continues to update case information in the State database. As such, case numbers on the State map will increase; however, each of these cases has been accounted for-these are not new active cases. The Department will continue to provide weekly updates, at the discretion of Department staff.
