Ranger Bantams Go Undefeated In Minot

The Richland Ranger Bantams added a few wins to their season. They travelled to Minot this past weekend for the Tournament of Champions and brought home the championship!

Friday night in their first game of the tournament the Bantams faced Seven Oaks, a team out of Winnipeg. The Bantams were victorious over Seven Oaks with a score of 10-1.

Saturday would bring the Bantams two games. First, they faced Bismarck White and defeated them 7-0. That afternoon they would be matched up with Hazen's B1 team and end with another win and a score of 4-1.

On Sunday, the Bantams found themselves another two games. The first game was the Rangers against Grand Forks. The Rangers defeated Grand Forks 5-1 placing them in the championship games. This brought them face to face with Hazen B1, who had won the Wild Card spot, again. After a tough game the Rangers came out on top, defeating Hazen B1 once again with a score of 4-3 thus naming the Ranger Bantams as champions of the tournament.

The Bantams ended the weekend with a total of 30 goals and 27 assists. In the net, Paxton Berry faced 139 shots and made an incredible 133 saves!

The next tournament will be the Capitals Cup in Bismarck, Jan. 12-14, 2024.
