Opening weekend of North Dakota's deer season 2014 was really cold, but first time hunter Valerie Deicks, Cartwright, stuck it out and was rewarded with a 4-point mule deer buck. She and her husband, Dutch, stalked the animal for over two hours, using the noise of migrating geese to cover their movements. "He was wonderful," Valerie said of her husband.
