McKenzie County 4-Hers Do Well At State Events

Andrina Turnquist, daughter of Erica and David Turnquist, Alexander, placed second out of 38 youth participating in the Junior Division of the State 4-H Consumer Choices Contest held July 26 at the McCabe United Methodist Church, Bismarck.

Teammate Karissa Monsen, daughter of Clayton and Vicki Monsen, Watford City, came in just behind Turnquist with a third place finish and Krystal Wold, daughter of Gary and Sue Wold, also of Watford City, and teammate, finished off in tenth place. Colby Dukart, son of Jennifer and Colby Dukart, Dunn Center, was also a team member.

This team finished second of 13 participating in the contest.

Katie Wold, daughter of Gary and Sue Wold, Watford City, placed eleventh out of 38 4-Hers participating in the Senior Division of this 4-H Consumer Choices Contest.

4-H Consumer Choices judging activities are designed to help youth develop decision making skills. Their ability to observe and evaluate written materials as well as reciting oral reasons to justify their decisions to determine their success in judging events.
