USPSA Action Shooters Wrap Up 2011

Lori Jensen was the match director for the Nov. 19 shoot of the Big Muddy Practical Shooting Association. When competitors arrived, she had six stages ready to test their shooting skills.

Jim Hovet, Antelope, grabbed the top spot for the day, with four first-place wins and two seconds. Jim Brenner, Westby, came in second after shooting one first, three seconds, one third and one fifth. Sam Andring, Medicine Lake, had not shot with the club for several months, but he came to compete. He finished in third place with one first, one second, three thirds, and one sixth-place.

Mike Kauffold, Wolf Point, and Bill Lord, Plentywood, each shot to a third-place win on a stage as well.

The results for the previous shoot were incorrectly reported; Marlin Danielson had two firsts, three seconds, and one third, while Lori Jensen had one second and five third-place stage rankings.

The Dec. 10 shoot for the club marks the end of another year’s events. Marlin Danielson is match director for the indoor shoot at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds, and he plans a minimum of 114 rounds and six stages. After the shoot, the crew will reassemble at the Eight Ball Inn, Medicine Lake. They will hold their annual meeting to elect new board members, set up the match schedule for 2012, and discuss other club business. After the meeting club members will be treated to a prime rib dinner, cooked to perfection by the crew at the Eight Ball Inn.

Marial Hovet, club publicist, encourages interested shooters to contact her at 406-286-5245 to learn more about BMPSA’s upcoming activities.
