Kountry Catering Open at Sidney Elks Lodge

Kountry Catering is open at the Elks Lodge in Sidney. Owner Vicki Fowler is excited about putting her lifetime of culinary experience into catering to the needs of the community.

Originally from Glendive, Fowler started her career as a freshman in her mom's café in Terry. She then became food and beverage manager at the 4 Aces in Deadwood, SD before tackling the job as kitchen supervisor at the Holiday Inn in Spearfish, SD, where they did a lot of catering. She has spent the past 8 years in Texas, busy raising grandchildren. Fowler's husband Thomas is the compliance officer for KC Sand & Gravel. After their youngest child graduated from high school in Texas, Vicki and 2 of her grandchildren moved to Sidney to be with Thomas.

With 25 years experience, Fowler is ready to cater meals for all sizes of gatherings including business meetings, safety meetings, luncheons, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and more. Catering can be at the Elks Lodge, or any suitable location.

Everything Fowler serves is homemade, including pie crust. "I love to bake and I love to cook," she said.

A Sunday buffet will be served up each week from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. beginning Dec. 22. Enjoy a wide variety of home cooked foods for only $13.50 for adults, $6.00 for kids 4 to 9. Kids 3 and under eat free and there is a 10% senior discount for those 62 and older.

Fowler is also planning Steak Nights around the Elks activities. Those will be advertised. She also plans to launch "to-go" foods very soon.

Fowler is now taking orders for homemade breads, rolls, pies, cookies, cakes, cinnamon and caramel rolls. "I don't decorate cakes," she said, laughing. Call 1-817-403-6487 or visit Kountry Catering on Facebook to order for pickup the following week.

The Kountry Catering Facebook page is updated daily, so watch for specials, steak nights and other activities.

Fowler invites everyone to stop by and get acquainted.
