McWalter New President at Merchants Bank

Neil McWalter is the new president of Merchants Bank in Fairview. He has been with Merchants Bank since September, starting in Rugby, ND and transferring to Fairview in mid-December. Originally from Grand Forks, he has 24 years experience in the banking industry.

"I am happy to be here," McWalter stated. "We're here to serve the community with what ever needs they may have, whether it's ag related, commercial or personal." He is also very pleased with the staff at Merchants Bank. "We have an established staff that I feel really good about. They know the community and the customers and are more than willing to help in any way they can."

McWalter has two grown, married children who live in Fargo and Grand Forks. His hobbies include fishing and riding his Harley. He is looking forward to getting acquainted with the area and becoming more involved in the community.
