Vision Of Hope Autism Awareness 5K Run/Walk

Come join us for the Autism Awareness 5K run/walk on Saturday, July 29. All proceeds will help Vision of Hope and its ministry for our young adults who are on the Autism Spectrum! You can register online at http://www.visionofhope. net or at 8 a.m. on July 29 at Veterans Memorial Park. The walk will be from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. starting at Veterans Memorial Park in Sidney, MT.

Vision of Hope is the Autism Ministry of Emmaus House and co-founded by Sr. Rita Rauschendorfer and Sr. Regina Murray. The ministry of Vision of Hope help financially assist some of our young people in Eastern Montana to pursue education and training to specifically address their needs as they live with their autism diagnosis.

One in 68 children in the United States is diagnosed with some form of autism. An estimated 50,000 teens with autism become adults—and lose school-based autism services - each year. To learn more about this visit autism speaks.org.

The students and young adults in our area who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder have little to no resources available to them especially after graduating from High School. Without access to the specialized career, work experience, independent living and social skills training, young adults with autism are left with almost no chance at successfully navigating the world and becoming independent, self-sufficient, contributing members of society.

The funds solicited would be used to:

· Access adult camps

· Scholarships to internships

· Scholarships for college
