MHSA/Stockman Bank Regular Season Local Recognition Sportsman Program Announced

The MHSA/Stockman Bank Regular Season Local Recognition Sportsman Program award will be presented after the conclusion of each home Sidney Eagles games. The winner(s) of the Sportsmanship Award will be announced and presented with a medal.

Home football games are: Sept. 24, Fergus; Oct. 8, Billings Central; Oct. 22, Glendive. Home volleyball games are: Oct. 2, Glendive; Oct. 16, Glasgow; Oct. 23, Fergus; Oct. 30, Miles City.

The selection committee consists of table workers, game officials, school administrators and coaches.

The player(s) who is/are selected should demonstrate a combination of the following characteristics: treats the opponent with respect, takes pride in his/her school, respects all contest officials, exhibits grace in victory and dignity in defeat, has pride in his/her performance, cooperates with coaches and fellow participants displays positive attitude at all times, proudly represents the community and enjoys the activity and promotes enjoyment for others.

The MHSA / Stockman Bank Sportsmanship Award is presented to student athletes who, by their example, display characteristics that are conducive to good sportsmanship.
