Williston Injury Crash July 7

On July 7 at approximately 12:26 p.m. CST a 2017 Ford F-250, driven by a 51-year-old female, Williston, was stopped at the intersection of Hwy 2 and 58th St W. A 2002 Kia Sorrento, driven by a 37-year-old female, Epping, was traveling south on Hwy 2. The Ford entered the intersection upon receiving the green signal. The Kia failed to stop at the red light, entered the intersection, and struck the Ford on the driver side. Both vehicles came to rest in the intersection. The driver of the Kia was seriously injured and taken by ambulance to CHI St. Alexius, Williston. The driver of the Ford received minor injuries.

At the time of the crash the road conditions were good, dry, and the weather conditions were cloudy. Both drivers were wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash.

The agencies responding were NDHP, Williston Police Department, Williston Fire Department and Williston Ambulance.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
