Waterhole #3 Has New Owner

Judd Burman fulfilled his childhood dream of owning a bar when he purchased the Waterhole #3 and Oasis Casino in Fairview on April 20, 2023. "I've always wanted to own a bar, ever since I was a little kid," Burman said. "I didn't want to be a lawyer or a doctor, I just wanted to own a bar." The Fairview native is very proud of the bar he purchased and encourages everyone to stop in. "It's a beautiful bar. Anyone who hasn't been in for awhile really needs to come and see it."

Burman is still a gas plant operator for Kinder Morgan so he relies on his great manager Kim Falkenhagen to run the day-to-day operations. Falkenhagen, along with the staff of 24 other individuals do their utmost to make everyone's experience the best it can be whether in the Waterhole #3 or the Oasis Casino. Both are open seven days a week from 11 a.m.-2 a.m. Stop in for a tasty home cooked lunch special Monday-Friday from 11 a. m. til gone or savor one of the 16 beers on tap, which includes many regional craft beers.

Events such as the Putt Putt Pub Crawl which happened last weekend, and the Yellowstone Poker Float scheduled for Aug. 19, were started by Burman when he worked part time at the Waterhole. As a musician, he would like to have more live music although band costs can make that difficult. He hosted a guitar Karaoke night recently where singers could choose a song and Burman had to play it on his guitar. "It was half comedy, half talent," he said of the night. "It went pretty good, everyone had a good time."

The Waterhole #3 has the only patio in town, the perfect spot for the daiquiri bar Thursdays starting May 25. There might even be some random music there during the summer Burman suggested. There will be live music during Fairview Festival the third weekend in July as well.

The Waterhole ballroom is available for any occasion, and is the home for cornhole league and pool league in the winter months.
