Tasty Food To Go

A desire to take advantage of our robust economy and be near family has brought two women to the area who are providing quick, tasty food to people on the go.

Alison Henslee moved to Sidney in September, primarily because she wanted to be a part of her new grandson’s life. From 5 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, she is busy serving up breakfast burritos, lunches and goodies from Mojo’s in Finnicum’s parking lot. “It’s been good,” Henslee said “but I’d like to have lots more customers. I do have lots of regular customers who come every day. When they don’t come, I worry about them!” Right now, Mojo’s serves breakfast burritos, the Ever Awesome Cheeseburger, the Almost Famous BBQ Beef as well as daily lunch specials. Mojo’s Full Man Lunch includes a 9” sub, chips, fruit, beverage, cheese stick and a treat. Lunches are ready to go by 5 a.m. “I use deli meats and cheeses, not just ordinary stuff and I’ll do special orders with advance notice.” Henslee is also open to suggestions, particularly a lunch special idea. “The menu will continue to evolve,” she added.

In Fairview, look for the white bus in Cherrey’s Fuel Stop parking lot at Interstate Ave. and 2nd St. S. There you’ll find Fairview native Alicia (Dietrich) Dahl and her son, Connor, dishing up hot, homemade soups, paninis and a daily special, as well as breakfast burritos and freshly ground coffee at Cozzo’s Coach. Cozzo’s also has a full deli with subs and bagels, plus homemade desserts. “Everything is homemade, using the freshest, organic (if possible) ingredients available,” Dahl says. Cozzo’s will also provide sack lunches if people order the day before. As trained barristas, Dahls are excited about offering espresso, lattes and cappuccinos by mid November. Next spring, Cozzo’s will be adding smoothies, iced coffees and a variety of salads to their offerings. Dahl is pleased with the reception she has received since opening Oct. 17.

“It’s been good. We’ve had a lot of local support,” she said. Dahl closed her café at Clearwater Beach, FL, because of the “horrible” economy there. Coming back to her class reunion in July opened her eyes to the opportunities back at home. She’s having fun with her new venture and invites everyone to stop by and check out the tasty offerings. To call in an order, call 406-480-6707 or text 808-753-6955. Cozzo’s Coach is open from 6 a.m.-1 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Monday through Friday.
