Slayer Games Grand Opening March 1

Slayer Games is the newest addition to the Yellowstone Marketplace in downtown Sidney.

The Slayer Games store focuses on buying, selling and trading new and used video games and consoles. They have planned a grand opening of the store on March 1.

Slayer Games owner Jeremy Mills, brother of Sandwich Artist co-owner Amy Armstead, saw a need for a store of this type in the Sidney area.

“People want to be able to buy, sell or trade both new and older games,” commented Mills.

Currently, the store has games for Wii, Xbox 360, PSP, PS2 and PS3. Over time the inventory and variety of games will grow as people trade and sell their games. “We plan to carry PC games, Nintendo DS & 3DS and the new Sony Vita console,” said store manager Chris Paynter. “We will also carry classic games for Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Super Nintendo, Atari and Sega Genesis eventually.”

Some of the newest game titles they have available are Final Fantasy 13, Never Dead, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning as well as the much anticipated Twisted Metal release coming soon.

The store also plans to have consoles set up for people to demo the games. They currently have a Xbox 360 and Xbox 360 Kinect set up for customers to try out.

“At Slayer Games we want to be one-on-one with the customer, to be able to give them advice on games and even the latest tips on how to beat a game. We want be the gamers friend. Stay a while, talk and chat about your game. Its going to be about the gamer, not us,” stated Mills.
