ROI Silent Basket Auction

Richland Opportunities is hosting a silent art auction to assist with infrastructure needs. During the legislative process in 2011, ROI’s state reimbursement rates were decreased to 2008 levels and this is the 5th year that ROI has gone without an increase in funding. This has left a huge gap in ROI’s ability to maintain its infrastructure needs. As a result of this decrease, ROI is having an online basket auction with the final bidding Town and Country Festival on June 22. The baskets can be seen at http://www.richland-opportunities.org with an online bidding during the process through June 20th. The baskets can be viewed at local businesses and banks and are located at Panini’s, Sidney Chiropractic and Diet Center, Richland Federal Credit Union, Stockman Bank, ElectricLand, J’z Fashion Threadz and Power 95.

With 53 themed baskets, there is a basket for everyone with a tremendous selection of items. ROI is grateful to local businesses and people for their donations to fill the baskets. The variety is shown in the basket names; It’s a Generational Thing, Curb Appeal, Munchkin Special, WOW, No Dishes Week, Just In “CASE,” and “Makita” Your Heart. The baskets provide a range of donated items from gift certificates to chocolate, and Crown Royal to baby items.

ROI has been a vital community agency since 1979 in its mission to provide services to adults with developmental disabilities in their homes, in their work, and through transportation. As part of the work services, ROI is the forerunner in Richland County’s recycling program. Cindy Eleson, executive director, stated, “ROI has been very blessed by this community and we will continue to need your support to improve our infrastructure needs. Our needs include updating our facilities and vehicles for the health and safety of the individuals, and continued improvements to the recycling program due to the economic growth of the area and therefore the volume of recyclables that ROI is processing. Funds raised from the silent basket of will be used for both of these needs. Please bid online and join us on June 22nd from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, during the Town and Country Festival.”
