2013 Horse Extravaganza

Welcome to this year’s program! Wendy Haugen has stepped up to take over the Extravaganza, with lots of changes and some great acts for your enjoyment.

The flag presentation will be made by our own Ms. Southeastern Montana Rodeo Queen Jade Brunsvold. Jade has been involved in our program since it started and we are very proud to have her present the colors.

This year, Wendy has contacted several people to provide rides in the arena. At press time we have three people who will hopefully be here, the stagecoach from Culbertson, a restored buggy from Milt Madison and a covered wagon from Richard Albin. Hopefully they will all be able to attend.

The Big Sky Shires from the Glendive area will be here and they are always a beautiful site to behold. The Curlys will finally be making an appearance with us as well as the Dynneson team trained by Grandpa and Granddaughter. The Silverado drill team will be making another stellar appearance as well as the BayWatch team of Somer Reidle and Jade Brunsvold plus perhaps one more teammate. They always perform a great mini-drill team performance. Peggy Ann Stroup and her Spotted Troupe will perform again and they are beautiful to watch.

There will be a new sport unveiled at the show this year. Horseback target shooting will be demonstrated with Bobbi Blankenship Morgans from Glendive. Bobbi’s daughter and son in law will also ride and share their skills. This is something new to our area and should be very exciting to watch.

As you see, Wendy has worked hard to bring you a great show. Please plan to attend on Wednesday night, at 7 p.m. We are at the Sidney Fairgrounds arena and the best part is, IT’S FREE! See you there!
