Support Cancer - Participate in "Ribbon Walk"

"Ribbon Walk" is a local fundraising event in which 100% of the proceeds from the event will stay in the community and benefit local cancer patients through the Cancer Coalition Fund and the Sidney Health Center Cancer Care Fund. Both funds are managed by the Foundation for Community Care, a local non-profit organization. The event will promote support for anyone touched by cancer and spread awareness about cancer and early detection. This event is organized by community volunteers, members of the local Cancer Coalition and the Foundation for Community Care.

Toni Zieske, Marketing & Communications Assistant at Sidney Health Center, states, "Last year the Cancer Coalition created a fund that is managed by the Foundation for Community Care, which allows cancer patients to apply for funds to help pay for expenses while undergoing treatments.  Members in the community saw the creation of this fund as an opportunity to have a Cancer Survivor event and keep the fundraising dollars local to benefit cancer patients.  We wanted to have an event that would help raise funds for not only the Cancer Coalition fund, but for the Sidney Health Center Cancer Care.  It is important that cancer patients have access to assistance and medical treatments close to home."

Ribbon Walk Cancer Survivor and Team registration packets will be available at the Community Health Fair in the Foundation for Community Care, Sidney Health Center Cancer Care and Cancer Coalition booths.
