The Sidney High School track received much needed renovations in 2019 with updates to the football field scheduled for 2020. The new track has been completed except for the painted lane lines that will take place when weather permits.

The new football field and track area will be renamed to The Lowman-Walton Sports Complex in honor of Melani and Rob Walton Foundation. It's been previously reported that the football field itself will still be named Swanson Field and the press box will continue to be called the Ron Ewing Eagle's Nest.

The renovation was made possible by donations to the school from various organizations. The Melani and Rob Walton Foundation donated $435,000, $25,000 from the Dayton Foundation and $100,000 from an anonymous donor.
