On Tuesday, June 6, McKenzie County held its 19th Annual First Responders Golf Scramble and Awards Dinner.
The annual awards dinner for First Responders in McKenzie County was held at Kent Pelton Park, Watford City.
Conoco Phillips offered to cook and serve the dinner this year as they wanted to do this for all the First Responders and their families.

Those departments that were recognized were fire departments, law enforcement, EMS ambulance/QRUs, corrections, and local dispatch. Fairview, Sidney, Williston and New Town fire were also invited as they to protect portions of McKenzie County and at times respond to mutual aid calls with other McKenzie County Fire Departments.
Emergency Manager Karolin Jappe said, "This year we wanted to step it up and give an award to one person in each department that provides services in McKenzie County. In the past, there were only five awards given out, one to each category. This year, each department submitted a name from its department to be recognized. Twenty-two awards in all were given out along with door prizes."
We are very grateful for everything that First Responders do for each of our communities and McKenzie County as a whole.
