Alan Quale, former Alexander High School graduate, has written his first novel, “My Dakota”, which was released in May.
Quale grew up in Alexander where his parents operated a grocery store for many years.
He graduated from Alexander High School and the University of North Dakota. He spent 40 years as a journalist on the West Coast and after retirement he decided he would write a novel about his childhood growing up in a small town in the ‘50s.
“My Dakota” follows the childhood adventures of Eric Anderson as he and his friends search for fun and adventure on the prairie.
