Sidney Country Club Welcome Party April 20

The Sidney Country Club is hosting a Welcome Party this Friday evening, April 20 at 7 p.m. for all new and prospective members. Anyone who has joined the club in the last year, as well as those who might wish to join is welcome to attend. Jay Frank, PGA pro and club manager will provide information on how to join the Country Club, as well as how to better use a membership and what is expected of members. With the increase in walk in traffic, it has been difficult for Frank to individually visit with new and prospective members. The Welcoming Party will give people his undivided attention and the opportunity to ask questions.

The Sidney Country Club provides quality, affordable recreation for all ages. “It’s a good thing for folks to do in their free time,” Frank said. Interest in membership has increased with the influx of people to this area. In the history of the club, the membership has never eclipsed 300. Currently there are 350. The bylaws of the club allow for 450 playing memberships and Frank is confident that they will reach that goal within the next couple of years. “Our goal is to obtain as many members as we can,” Frank stated. Because of that, prospective members may have a wait before they can join and there may be a little less access for those just wanting to play casually. He encourages anyone who is interested in joining the club, including those who have lived here for many years, to do so within the next 2 years to ensure availability.

The Sidney Country Club also offers lunch and dinner options at The Fringe, which is open to the public seven days a week. The lunch menu includes juicy burgers, sandwiches and soups as well as refreshing salads. The lunch menu continues all day offering lighter options for evening diners, along with sumptuous seafood, steaks and more. Reservations are not required but are encouraged. Private parties, large or small, can be accommodated with advanced notice. The dining room is also available for banquets and events, including holiday parties. People are encouraged to book early to ensure availability.

Sidney Country Club is located on Hwy 16 NW. The Pro Shop can be reached at 406-433-1894 and The Fringe number is 406-433-7460.
