Richland County Sheriff's Office Involved in High Speed Pursuit

On June 8 at approximately 8:30 p.m., the Richland County Sheriff Office received information that Williams County North Dakota Sheriff’s Office was involved in a high-speed pursuit of vehicle occupied by two individuals. They were requesting assistance should the suspect vehicle travel into Richland County, MT.

Suspect vehicle was subsequently stopped in Richland County south of Fairview on CR # 356.

The suspect driver identified as John Lee Tester, 50, a North Dakota resident was subsequently taken into custody by the Richland County Sheriff’s Office and incarcerated in the Richland County Detention Center. Formal charges are pending charging the suspect with various traffic offenses and as a fugitive of justice from the State of ND. The passenger was released without charges.

No one was injured and there was no property damage as a result of the event.
