Savage & Fairview Warrior Volleyball Teams Raise Funds For SHC Cancer Care Center

More than 350 spectators joined the Savage Warriors and Fairview Warriors on Oct. 15 for high school volleyball “Pack it in PINK” tournaments.

Proceeds from each community’s tournament benefited Phase II of Sidney Health Center’s Cancer Care Center.

Hurley Oil Field Services and W.L. Neu Construction made a donation for each person wearing pink to Fairview’s tournament. In addition, Richland County Cancer Coalition had a pink carnation for each player to give to a fan as a reminder to make an appointment for a cancer screening.

Savage Warriors donated all gate admission, held a raffle, a bake sale and silent auction towards Phase II of the Cancer Care Center.

This was Savage’s 3rd annual and Fairview’s 1st annual event.

A special thank you to each volleyball team, coaches, managers, businesses and fans that joined the girls for a day of awareness and helping to bring the BEST Cancer Treatment closer to home.
