Sidney Shuttle Transportation Service Begins

Jim and Michelle Kelly have started a much needed business in Sidney, Sidney Shuttle, LLC, providing low cost transportation 24 hours a day, seven days a week to and from local bars, restaurants and motels. Jim had a similar service in Michigan and recognized the need in Sidney. “Our main issue is safety,” he said. “We want to keep impaired drivers off the streets and roads by offering them a safe, inexpensive alternative.” The company charges flat rates. It’s only $10 for the trip home from one of the local establishments. Additional persons on the same trip are charged $5.00 per head. Add an extra $10 if you want your vehicle driven home as well. Someone only needing to go 4 or 5 blocks with some groceries would only be charged $5.00.

Service to and from the Williston airport and train station, as well as the Glendive bus depot is also available. They are also working with the bars in Fairview to provide the service between Sidney and Fairview, and hope to have that up and running within the month. Kellys started the business a bit over a week ago and are pleased with the response so far. They are cooperating with the DUI Task force, which is pleased with their efforts to get impaired drivers home safely.

Kellys have three vans, with a total seating capacity of 26 riders. All three vans can be used at once, providing transportation for parties. They will be ready for special events such as the Town and Country Festival, the Richland County Fair and Rodeo and Fairview Festival.
