Halloween Decorating For A Cause

Do you love Halloween? I'm not sure anyone in Sidney loves it more than Jan Getchell and her daughter Alysia Roland. Drive by 507 7th Ave. Southwest and see how their Halloween decorations beat the Griswolds at Christmas.

Alysia says she's been decorating her mom's yard for nine or ten years. The first few years the theme was the traditional witches, ghosts, and spiders.  She has always done most of the decorating by herself, however, last year; she recruited help from her husband because of so many new decorations. Most of them are built by hand.

Alysia's birthday is around Halloween, so instead of gifts in the traditional style, she asks for Halloween decorations.

Alysia and Cory have three children ages two, four, and seven. They're all excited for Halloween.

This year they are encouraging fans of the decorations to drop off canned goods to be donated to the Richland County Food Bank.

Jan and Alysia encourage kids to stop by on Halloween night.
