The Eagles scored two in the second inning after a Williston error scored one run and Kayson Radke grounded out, scoring one run. On April 8, the Sidney Eagle baseball team traveled to Stanley, ND, to defeat the Blue Jays 17 to 2, and the Ray Jays 15-4. The first game was against the Ray Jays. Ty Schepens drove in four runs on three hits to give the Eagles a lead. Schepens doubled in the second inning, scoring three runs and singled in the first scoring one. The Sidney High School Cheerleaders and the Eaglette Drill Team competed at Cheerfest in Lewistown, MT on Friday, March 15. The drill team competed with their routine to "Thunderstruck". Alexander Public School was planning to hold their annual Christmas concert, Tuesday, Dec. 19. Due to an outbreak of influenza A, over 100 students were home sick. The school holiday program has been postponed until after the winter break. Students and staff have been busy decorating the hallways for a Whoville competition. Sidney High School made history last spring. On March 24, the Sidney High School Boys Baseball team took the field for the first time, traveling to Columbus, MT. The Richland County Sports Complex has moved to a new building! They are now located in the old Cenex garage, next to Cooperative Western Choice. Up until August, they had been located at the fairgrounds. “The reason for the move was because this building has heat, has no dirt floor, and we had room to add a pickle-ball court,” said Chairman Terry Roth. “This gives an opportunity for more people to use our complex.” The RCSC hours for the month of October are Tuesday 5-7 p.m., Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. (pitch and catch for softball players...

The Sidney Country Club is proud to host both the Class A Divisional and State Golf Tournaments this year! The Class A Divisional Golf Tournament will take place Friday, Sept. 22.
