Deborah Ernster, 72 unexpectedly passed away on Sunday October 29, 2023 at the Sidney Health Center Emergency Room with loved ones by her side.

Debbie was born on June 14, 1951, in Butte, Montana to Jonnie and Geneva Jarvis. Together with brother Rich, she would spend hours playing outside with friends near the family home in Butte.

She married Richard Pederson on November 7, 1970, and their beautiful daughter Tracey (Pederson) Thomas was born on March 26, 1971, in Townsend, Montana. She was a devoted stay-at-home mom who was an amazing cook and maintained an immaculate house. She provided love and support through Tracey's high school years. Because Tracey was an only child, they shared a bond that could not be broken. As Tracey moved through life and graduated from college, moved to Maryland, married her wonderful husband Jeff, and became pregnant with Debbie's first grandchild, she was there with Tracey for all of it. Two more grandkids came along, and she will forever be known as, "Nana from Montana." She will be missed and forever loved.

Debbie married Larry Ernster on April 21, 2001, and resided the rest of her life in Fairview, Montana. Larrry passed away on October 11, 2019. Debbie spent a lot of time with Larry's sister Rose, loved going camping with the family and enjoyed spending time with the kids.

Debbie enjoyed shopping (just like her mother) and was always quick to laugh. She loved a good, long conversation and had many good friends especially when she would spend Sunday afternoons at the Ranger visiting family and friends. Debbie was very generous, loved Christmas, and made sure that the family always had a wonderful holiday celebration.

Debbie is survived by her daughter Tracey (Jeff) Thomas and their children Alexander Richard, Claire Alexa, and Madison Nicole; stepchildren Travis, Staci, and Kiley Ernster; brother Richard Jarvis; great aunt Charlotte; best friend Fred Ernster; and all those who shared a part of her life.

Debbie was preceded in death by her husband Larry, parents Jonnie and Geneva, and many other loved ones.
